Feather Solitaire: TriPeaks Tips and Strategy

Quick answer

Feather Solitaire is TriPeaks solitaire: tap any face-up card one rank higher or lower than the pile card, and King and Ace connect. When you have no move, draw from the deck. Clear every card on the peaks to win. The key strategy is to choose plays that uncover new cards and extend your run, because every 7 cards in a row adds a bonus card to the deck.

TriPeaks is one of the friendliest solitaire games to learn, and Feather Solitaire adds OvO touches: a dealer OvO cheering you on, egg cards that hatch helpers, and a streak meter that rewards long runs. The rule is simple, but choosing which card to play when you have several options is where the strategy lives. This guide covers that decision and the special cards you will meet across 200 levels.

Games to try

The basic rule

There is one pile card at the bottom. Tap any face-up card on the peaks that is exactly one rank higher or lower than it, and that card flies onto the pile and becomes the new pile card. King and Ace connect, so runs can loop around, for example Queen, King, Ace, Two.

When no face-up card fits, tap the deck to turn over a new pile card. Clear every card on the peaks to win the level. Cards left in the deck at the end earn your stars, so finishing with deck cards to spare is the goal.

Choose the play that uncovers the most

Often you will have two or more legal plays. Before tapping, check which card each play uncovers. A play that flips a face-down card gives you new options; a play from the edge of a peak that uncovers nothing gives you fewer.

It also helps to look one step further. If playing a Six now would let you continue with a Seven that is already visible, and then an Eight that the Seven uncovers, that line is better than a single play that ends your run.

Build long feather streaks

Long runs of consecutive plays fill the streak meter. Every 7 cards in a row adds a bonus card to the deck, which directly improves your chance of clearing the peaks and earning stars. So when you can choose between two plays, prefer the one that keeps the run going longest.

A useful trick is to remember that you can go up or down at any point. If a run upward is about to end, check whether turning downward keeps it alive. Colour-match points are also awarded, which rewards attentive play.

Special cards

Feather Solitaire introduces special cards one at a time, so each new mechanic gets a moment to sink in:

  • Egg cards hatch helper OvOs on the peaks.
  • Wild cards add flexibility to your runs.
  • Locked cards cannot be played straight away.
  • Bomb cards have a ticking counter: clear a bomb card before its counter reaches zero.

When a bomb card appears, make clearing it a priority, even if it means a shorter streak.

Twelve layouts, one approach

The 200 levels use 12 different peak layouts. Some are wide and shallow, others tall with many hidden cards. The approach stays the same: count how many face-down cards each peak has and focus on opening the peaks with the most hidden cards first, because those are where you will otherwise run out of options late in the level.

Boosters and accessibility

Three boosters help: Undo takes back a play, Wild gives you a flexible card, and Hint shows a good play. Undo is perfect when you realise a different choice would have uncovered more. There is also a four-colour suits option, which makes the suits easier to tell apart at a glance, useful on small phone screens.
