What is Sky Obby?

Sky Obby is a 3D obstacle course game, the kind people call an obby. Each level is a course of floating pieces in the sky that ends at a finish arch with a gold trophy. On the way you meet stairs, narrow beams, sliding platforms, lifts, cookie tiles that crumble a moment after you land, glass that blinks in and out, lava floors with a zig-zag safe lane, bounce mushrooms that launch you high and spinning candy bars you have to jump over. Checkpoint flags sit every few pieces. If you fall off, step in lava or get hit by a bar, Sky goes back to the last flag, so you can never lose a course. New obstacles show up as you go, and later courses get longer and tighter.

How do you play Sky Obby?

The controls are simple, and the camera follows Sky from behind.

  1. Sky Obby level 13 on a phone: Sky on a pale yellow platform with orange lava patches, the Drag to run ring at bottom left and a purple jump button at bottom rightStep 1: Run by dragging on the left half of the screen. A ring marked Drag to run shows where your thumb is. On a computer, use WASD or the arrow keys instead.
  2. Sky Obby level 13 on a phone: Sky hops along a line of small pastel blocks toward a checkpoint flag on an orange and peach platformStep 2: Jump with the purple button, a tap on the right side, or Space on a keyboard. Hop from block to block and aim for the next checkpoint flag.
  3. Sky Obby level 28 on a phone: the checkpoint counter shows 1 of 1 and Sky hops onto a green block a few jumps from the purple finish archStep 3: Reach the flag to save your spot. The counter at the top shows how many checkpoints you have. After the last flag, head for the finish arch with the gold trophy to finish the course.
  4. Sky Obby level 52 on a phone: Sky on a lilac platform between orange lava patches, with a pink mushroom and a checkpoint flag aheadStep 4: Watch the floor. Orange and yellow patches are lava, so stay on the safe lane between them. Later courses add bounce mushrooms and other tricks before the finish.

How do stars, Skip and Wings work?

Stars count your falls. Finish a course with at most one fall for three stars, at most four falls for two stars, and any finish earns one. Two helpers cost OvO Tokens, the coins you earn by playing. Skip moves Sky to the next checkpoint, which helps on a part you keep missing. Wings catch your next fall and put Sky back on the last safe platform instead of the last flag. Restart is free. Every tenth course is a hard one with extra pieces, and every fifth is a short breather. There is also a daily course and a way to challenge a friend.
