Tile Trio: the classic triple tile match

Tile Trio is the one to pick if you want a classic tile matching game. The board is a stack of glossy fruit, sweet and toy tiles. Bright, raised tiles are free to tap; darker ones are still covered. Each tile you tap jumps into a tray with seven slots, and three of the same kind pop with an OvO cheer. Clear the board to win, but keep the tray from filling up, because a full tray with no trio ends the level. The first time you pop an item, its sticker goes into your album. There are 200 levels, every one of them solvable, and the first 40 are free.

How to play a tile matching game if you are new

Tile Trio teaches itself in its first level, but these steps make the first boards smoother.

1. 1Step 1: Before you tap, find a kind that has three free tiles on top. Tapping those first pops a trio straight away and keeps the tray empty.
2. 2Step 2: Avoid filling the tray with singles. Two or three different kinds waiting at once is fine; five tiles in the tray is a warning, and the tray glows when it gets close to full.
3. 3Step 3: Use the free help. The first Undo in each level is free, and Restart is always free. Hint and Shuffle cost tokens if you want them.

Hexa Nest: stack and sort hexagon tiles

Hexa Nest is a different kind of tile matching. Instead of single tiles you drag small stacks of egg tiles onto a honeycomb board. When a stack lands next to one with the same colour on top, those tiles flow across, and chains can set off more moves. Ten tiles of one colour on top hatch into OvOs and count toward the level goal. The one rule to remember is to keep a free cell, since a full board ends the level. It suits players who like planning a move or two ahead. There are 200 levels with the first 40 free.

Flock Out and Egg Drop: two more ways to clear a board

Flock Out is a tap-away puzzle. Every OvO on the board faces a direction, and tapping it sends it flying off if its lane is clear. Tap one whose path is blocked and it bumps a friend and costs a heart, so the trick is finding the right order. Egg Drop is a drop-and-merge game: you aim eggs into a glass jar, and two matching OvOs that touch hatch into the next one, up to 12 OvOs in all. Keep the jar under the red line. Its Daily jar gives everyone the same eggs, so you can compare scores.

Free, ads, phones and networks

All four games are free to play in your browser with ads between levels or runs, and some screens offer an optional video for bonus tokens. The OvO Pass is optional: it removes ads and unlocks the levels after the first 40. There is no download, and if you sign in, your progress is saved across devices.
